EFT was developed in 1995 as a refinement of another newer type of therapy called TFT (Thought Field Therapy).
EFT is based on an understanding that negative emotion co-exists alongside a disturbed energy pattern throughout our body. For centuries, the Chinese have studied such energy flows in what they term the meridian systems of the body, and on which acupuncture is based.
When I practice EFT, I show you how to tap with the fingers on various points of the upper body (meridian access points). In doing so, the energies of the body can be re-balanced, resulting in the release of negative emotion.
